Overall

Good news (and a note about previous reviews) Dr. Hurt doesn't work here anymore! I saw Dr. Edmonds, her replacement, and she's amazing! Very thorough and intelligent. Wait time was great and the new office is beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Overall a great experience, and I would, and have, recommended them to friends and family.

Cryotherapy
Seborrheic keratoses have a wart-like appearance and usually are tan or brown in color, making them stand out from a person’s regular skin color. Although they’re harmless, they can be irritated by clothing or jewelry. Seborrheic keratoses can be removed through shave removal, cryotherapy, or electrodessication.
Medical Weight Loss
This condition is characterized by hair loss from the top of the scalp (usually temporary) that occurs because of trauma, shock, or stress that interrupts the hair follicle growth cycle mentioned previously. Anagen slows down significantly and many hair follicles enter the resting phase (telogen), meaning that hair loss increases. Effectively treating telogen effluvium involves diagnosing and treating the underlying causes so that the hair follicles can return to their normal growth cycle.

Dr. Linda M. Benedict founded Georgia Skin Specialists in 2001. Dr. Benedict is a Florida native who received her undergraduate degree from Emory University. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and then completed residencies in both Family Practice and Dermatology. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
While we don’t know exactly what causes rosacea, we do know that it is a chronic inflammatory condition that is mediated by the immune system. Rosacea has a genetic component and is most common in adults of Celtic and Scandinavian descent. There are also microorganisms that live on the skin that may contribute to rosacea, and several rosacea treatments target those microbes. There can also be a “skin-gut connection” with rosacea as more patients with rosacea have gastrointestinal conditions including H. pylori infection, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS), and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
