Out of this World Food, Out of this World Atmosphere

    Provided by

It has been a bit over four years since Roy's Galaxy Diner opened its doors and they opened with a bang. The restaurant serves American, Italian, Greek, Mexican (on Tuesday nights) and much, much more. In the four years that I have been a patron at the Diner, I have not had one bad meal. I am not a big steak enthusiast, yet, the steaks that I have tried here have been tender and well seasoned and extremely delicious Add a baked potato and a vegetable of your choice and you have a great, complete meal. Oops, forgot the great cold side salad or the soup of the day as an appetizer. My favorite for breakfast is the large freshly baked biscuit with the sausage gravy. Out of this world! The price is right for one, but even better if you have two. The wait staff is the friendliest I have ever met. There is Maria, Amanda, Holly, Joanne, Nicole, Tanya, Misty and Michelle. Always smiling and delivering the food hot and fast. This is a truly family atmosphere. The owner, Roy, is always greeting when you enter and wishing you a great day when you are leaving. The entire staff makes sure that you have the best experience possible and this is about unheard of when you go out for a great meal. Rev up the rocket engines and plot a course for the Galaxy Diner and you will know that you are going to have the best meal in town (if not the Galaxy). Enjoy the food and especially the spring, summer and early car shows!

Great neighborhood diner with array of menu choices

    Provided by

This is the place for outstanding reasonably priced meals. Eggs, grits or potatoes and toast for $3. Other breakfast from $4.50 and all are excellent. ""Down home"" meals with choice of sides under $10. Generous sandwiches beginning at $6. Stuffed tilapia special is as good as those costing 2X as much or more. Desserts-although excellent-are high priced for diner. Wide assortment of menu items including Greek dishes. Almost all are done very well. Excellent, friendly service. A good place for a quick breakfast, brunch or lunch.

    Best Diner, Super Friendly Service

    Provided by

Galaxy Diner is the best diner I have ever been to (I've frequented many). The service is excellent the prices are fair (big portions); the owner makes sure that you are taken care of properly... I ordered all you can eat spaghetti which was delicious, the Mediterranean Steak which was one of the best steaks I have ever had (no A1 necessary), and breakfast is great all day long. Next time, I will get the all you can eat catfish... cant wait!\r \r FYI: Tea is fresh brewed not instant.

In a low orbit around the perimeter

    Provided by

I know a little out-of-the-way Galaxy with tasty diner food. Located one small step outside the perimeter, they have a wide array of items: Greek, Southern, breakfast, sandwiches -- something to please everyone in your party. My personal favorite is the turkey club, served with crinkle fries, but everything else looks good, and the dessert case looks out of this world (excuse the predictable pun). Occasionally the waitstaff is orbiting Uranus, but they're always friendly, and their personality adds to the charm of the place. The covered patio is nice on a warm day. My only dislike is the instant sweet tea that tastes like rocket fuel -- brewed tea poses such a minimal cost to the restaurant, I don't understand why they have to have that awful instant stuff. Otherwise, its not one giant leap to recommend you park your spaceship at the Galaxy diner.

    Diner anyone?

    Provided by

Galaxy Diner looks like it once was a Hardees. There is a little patio to eat. The food here is good. Think of it as a step above a Waffle House. Also, they have a friendly waitstaff.
