    Great summer spot

Love going to the drive in during the summer. Grab a cooler of beer, grab a girl and some friends, and head out to Starlight. Fun times!

    Time warp? Um, yes...

    Provided by

I've only been to the Drive In one time... but what a great experience and what a cool addition for Atlanta night-timers. It's exactly what you'd expect... a handful of parking lots with massive screens that have trees as additional backdrops. You can bring your own booze, and you turn your radio to a specific dial to pipe in the movie's audio. The bathrooms aren't exactly the cleanest things in the world, but the food is more of the carnival variety (corndogs, anyone) so they get extra credit there. While Atlantic Station and Regals are charging some $12+ for a movie, Starlight keeps it real for $7 per person...for a DOUBLE FEATURE. This going to be my summer saving destination of 2010.

    Being Last Is Sometimes Best

    Provided by

For a while the Starlight was the last of the outside drive-in movie theaters, We generally get double features and it is just great. If you see the van a rockin...don't go a knockin. there have been some good changes at this theater since you were probably here last. Do yourself a favor and take the family when you go this weekend. This can be a really fun time.

Great place to go for a cheap date with alittle cash flow.

    Provided by

My wife and I visited the Starlight a few monthe ago for the first time. We had a great time and was just looking for something to do one night. Certainly we'll return again because we really had a great time there. The price is right and you get to watch first run movies.

    Best drive-in

A night at Starlight is a great night of the latest and greatest movies at a great price! We love the fact that we can take the entire family with snacks or burgers and have a great time together.

    Best Date and cheap too!!

    Provided by

9 years ago my husband and I had our first date at a drive-in in New Hampshire (we went to college in VT) Since that was a great memory I took him to the Starlight for an anniversary a couple years ago and it was the best date ever!! I packed all or our favortie snacks, and did not tell him where we were going until after dinner, it was a great time and we look forward to going again!!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DRIVEIN MOVIE IN ATLANTA, maybe the world

    Provided by

The very first date I had with my wife of many years was at the Starlight, back Then there were several Driveins in Atlanta The Glenwood ,The Scott and the S expressway, the Bankhead, we've visited them all many times, The years have eliminated all but the best ,we still visit several times a year, this year is special because our grandson gets his drivers license and will be taking his girl friends to the Starlight. Somehow we've never managed to get to the Flea market I hope we get to check it out soon, If you haven't been you need to go soon.My wife just reminded me of two other driveins we visited years ago that no longer exist The Moonlit and the Hub driveins both were in covington. the fact that they are disapearing so fast is even more reason to support the one we have left.

    LOVE this place

    Provided by

I went here on a double date with my boyfriend and our best friends. We had a BLAST since I suggested we pretend were were in that scene in the movie Grease. hahahahaha. The sound was great and the whole experience was cozy and full of nostalgia. My boyfriend and I came back, at my insistence, for the flea market. This has since become one of my FAVORITE hangouts in Atlanta.

    Old school and so cool!!!

    Provided by

Started going here last year. Would highly recommend for a family outing or a romantic interlude. Have done both and enjoyed each the same. They have begun to make alot improvements to the theater and predict this to be the spot for the summer. Get their befor 7:30 to get a good spot. They serve popcorn, candy, smoothies, chickfala, hamburgers, hotdogs, and more. Facilities are clean. Check it out.

    Great Place for Everyone!!!

    Provided by

This was my first time to a drive in, in a long time. I just thought this was so great! The people had their chairs and picnic baskets out and the kids were sitting around watching the movie. It was just great I would highly recommend this drive in to anyone who loves movies. I really enjoyed myself. I'm also going back this weekend.

Where else can you eat, drink, and even make out while watching a movie? And guess what, in case your date doesn't like the flick, just turn the car around and swith the radio channel!

    FUN! FUN! FUN!

Where else can you go to see two movies for only six dollars, bring fast food without having to sneak it, or talk during the whole movie? I highly recommended Starlight if you are having a movie night!!!

    Your own private theater

    Provided by

An evening at Starlight turned out to be one of my more memorable movie-going experiences, despite the traffic getting to the place (get there at least half an hour beforehand). Once we had parked in one of the tilted parking spaces, it was like having a big-screen experience without the annoyance of chatty people all around. Just roll those windows up, and enjoy your own secure movie-watching environment. If you've got a good car stereo with surround sound, you're all set. Bring whatever you want to eat or drink, sit back and enjoy the movie. Lots of people bring lawn chairs and make it a block party, but I prefer relaxing in the comforts of a car.
