Let me start by saying " I should have known better!" I purchased a Groupon for Microderm my appt was with Tessa, first red flag was she only took about 10mins to do my whole face and right after tried to sell me a packet! I told her I would give them a call and schedule I wanted to check and see if Groupon was for mini Microderm or a full service b/c I'm very familiar with this service and it def takes longer than 10 min for a whole face! So I left.. checked Groupon and it didn't state mini or full so I assumed for the price it was mini! I enjoyed the atmosphere so I decided to give them a second chance....WHAT A MISTAKE! My appt was again with Tessa I always ask if they are familiar with working with diff skin types b/c skin of color can be tricky! She said yes she's been in the business for yrs! I had a small area on my check that was darker than my face she said she wanted to put a IVF peel on just that spot. I said OK that's fine! In this sitting I had Microdem, enzyme along with this IVF peel that she put on my cheek to treat this one area! She put the IVF peel 3 times the size of the actual mark she was treating! Keep that in mind! When I left she assured it would be fine it would peel and everything will be OK! I made her very aware that I have VERY sensitive skin, I burn and scar very easy! So as the days go by and the peel comes off I can tell that the pigment of my skin is 4 to 5 shades darker in that spot that she treated and its bigger than the size of a quarter in my face! So I call the business they were gone for the day. Just so happens the next day Caroline calls me and said Tessa isn't going to be in and she can take me the next day for my appt! I explain to her my issue and whats wrong and that I really need to see TESSA b/c she was the one that did this to my face! All of a sudden Tessa isn't available for days to come. So I go in and see Caroline she tells me that clearly I have a Burn and that she doesn't want to touch my face! BUT she also told me that she (Tessa) would have never known that I would burn like that if she wouldn't have tried all 3 things at once like she did! SMH! So I left that day with no resolution! I went back about a week later and again asked to see TESSA I was told " oh she isn't working that day" so I realize now OK Tessa is avoiding me! I go to my appt and walk in really early and Guess who's at the front counter TESSA! She See's me and darts to the back as if I didn't see her! Smh.. So I go in with Caroline and she continues to try to smooth over situation but she says I have to go at a very low speed on your face bc I don't want to aggravate the mark! Now fast forward almost 2 weeks later I have called and spoken with several of the ladies there to see if I can just give the remaining treatments to someone else and NEVER come back there again! She tells me she wants to speak with Alethea and see what she agrees to do! I called back bc I had yet to hear from anyone as of yet and I was informed that Alethea hasn't been in but was aware of the situation! So bottom line you get what you pay for! I paid 240 for a packet of 5 which is VERY CHEAP! Lesson learned! I will never return to this place!

I have had several treatments at Bella by Alethea, including a laser treatment package and separate facials. I have never been made to wait more than 3-5 minutes after walking in. The front desk staff is always very polite and caring. When you walk in, the atmosphere is more like a relaxing spa, instead of a sterile doctors office.
