    Best Doggie Daycare in Atlanta!

    Provided by

I've been taking my dog to the Inn for quite some time now and he absolutely LOVES it there! The facility is kept incredibly clean and the staff is super friendly, prompt, and on top of things. \r \r I've taken my dog to a couple other doggie daycare companies in the past and was never as happy with them as I've been with BHV. \r \r My dog is always happy to go when I'm dropping him off for daycare and boarding-- the staff is always understanding with special requests I have and seems to love having my dog there as much as he enjoys being there.

    Best Doggie Daycare in Atlanta!

My golden retriever LOVES Barking Hound Village! She's so excited to go to daycare every week, and she comes home totally exhausted after a day of playing with all of her pals. We also take her there for boarding when we go out of town, and it's great because we know she's going to be well taken care of and have a lots of fun! It's like she gets a vacation too. The staff is friendly and professional and they always remember our dog's name when we drop her off. I highly recommend BHV for daycare, boarding and grooming services.

    My puppy loves it

    Provided by

I have been to Barking Hound on Cheshire Bridge numerous times for both daily and over night boarding. We have left our 5 month old puppy up to 4 days when we went out of the country and he loved it. He is very social and gets a lot of exercise during the day. Everyone at the center is nice and friendly. Several of my friends who are dog owners also use Barking Hound and don't worry knowing their dog is in good hands.

Some background first. My husband and I are not rich. I am a corporate travel agent. My husband works for his family business overseeing the building of homes. This information about my husband alone should tell you what kind of a year we've been having from a business standpoint . We have a gentle and adored 6 year old lab named Harley. We decided to board Harley at Barking Hound Village on Cheshire Bridge. We had used this location during our wedding in March without incident. We returned home on Saturday the 15th, arriving at 7pm. Our plans were to get Harley on Sunday the 16th at 2pm. One hour after arriving home on the 15th, Barking Hound Village called to let us know Harley had been attacked by another dog. We waited through 2 more update calls; then decided to head for the pet emergancy room at Pets are People Too at Ansley. (we were exhaused?having been traveling home since 8am). When we arrived we were informed Harley would need surgery. The employess at Barking Hound told us the attack dog was a suspected boxer/pit mix and was completely unprovoked (we were not supprised Harley is very social and attends daycare). At 11pm the vet told us Harley would need drainage tubes in her neck, medication, and an estimated recovery of 7 to 10 days. The bill was over $400.00. The employee from Barking Hound contacted her manager to ask how the bill should be settled; and basically he stated Barking Hound was not responsible for the attack or the bill. My husband has spoken with two other employees since and gotten the same response. (a sort of polite ""screw off"") They will cover the boarding, but not any part of the medical bill. (we just asked for at least half). We may end up incurring added expenses if recovery does not go as expected?.It was a heartbreaking way to reuinte with our beloved family member. Watch out if you decide to use this facility or any of their other locations.

    Not what I expected

    Provided by

I was hoping this would be a good option for boarding my dog, unfortunately I was wrong. The people working there were very unfriendly. My dog seems ok, but I prefer not to leave my dog with a bunch of people who seem to hate their jobs. She also smelled really bad and didn't even do daycare with the other dogs. They also lost one of toys & argued with me about it. It's not such a big deal that they lost it, but that they didn't believe me until they checked her card. They did find it the next day and call me to let me know, which is nice and I appreciate that. I don't necessarily recommend boarding your dogs here, mainly due to the poor customer service.
