I love ON THE BORDER. They have great food at great prices... but don't come during rush hour or you will wait for a while... they are that popular. They have a great variety and everything is reasonably priced. Service is usually good, too. My only complaint is that they do not have mild sauce. What they call MILD is HOT to me... and they offer no alternative. Their chips are good... but I usually end up having to eat them plain OR pay additional for a cheese dip because the sauce is too hot.

I used to work at an ON THE BORDER, so I expected our visit to be good. The Lunch Burrito with shredded beef now comes with rice stuffed into the burrito instead of roasted red potatoes. This means you get 2 servings of rice with this dish. This meal was really a Mexican Rice Burrito with a smidgen of cheese and a few shreds of beef. Totally not what I remember or liked about this menu item! This is really cheap! If I would have wanted a RICE BURRITO, I would have gone to Taco Bell ! The Mojito seemed to be weak. I don't know if the bartender left out a shot or didn't put as much alcohol in the drink, but it seemed more like a wine cooler without any kick whatsoever. This seemed like I wasn't even at the same restaurant that used to have high standards of food and service standards and specifications! What has happened to ON THE BORDER??! I don't think that I will be frequenting this location when I visit Athens.
