Our office serves Athens, Alabama and North Alabama with a tradition of exceptional service, friendly staff, and quality eyewear. Dr. Leanne Whitaker takes great pride in offering every patient the best in eye care. We offer a full range of eye care services for you and your family including the treatment and management of eye infections, eye injuries, allergies, dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, refractive surgery (LASIK) , as well as other eye conditions. Dr. Whitaker and her experienced staff will take the time to answer all of your questions, explain treatment options, and provide the best eye health treatments available. Should you require an eyeglasses prescripton to correct your vision, our trained optical staff will assist you in selecting the frame and lens options that best suit you visually and cosmetically. Athens Eye Care Center conveniently offers an on-site optical laboratory to accurately fabricate spectacle prescriptions using only the finest lenses available. For patients who wear contact lenses, Dr. Whitaker fits all types of contact lenses including specialty lenses for difficult to fit prescriptions.
