Lube N Go
- BBB Rating:
What a waste of $50!! They tried to swindle me out of an additional $120 by showing me someone else's filthy air filter. I paid for them to "clean my car inside and out" and that meant that 4 grown men did the equivalent of wash it down with a hose and change the oil. Then they all went back to smoking their cigarettes. This is one business I will be happy to see go out of business!
I like going to Lube N Go. The service is friendly and fast, I get a coupon from their web site or from the local newspaper to save money. I get the full service oil change. They make a lot of recommendations but I just say no and do the recommendations myself or have a friend do it,
They don't even deserve one star. I recently got an oil change at Atascadero Lub-N-Go. They were so readily and happy to convince me to get the synthetic oil. They explained all the reasons as to why it would be better for my vehicle. More mileage use between oil changes, better lubrication when I start my car, and just better for my engine all together. I agreed...okay...go ahead with the oil change $74.00 right? RIGHT! WRONG! Upon check out, "your total due is $91 and some change". Excuse me!?!?! How did I just jump from $74 to $91? His response, oh there's your tax and the extra $8.00 per quart that was needed. What in the world?!?! No where in your convincing speech on the the synthetic oil did you so kindly tell me that due to my size engine, it would pay extra for more oil! I've never had this issue any where else! I've taken my car to the actual dealer, and paid $34 for an oil change! The reps here at Atas. Lube N-Go are knowledgeable about vehicles! They know the kind of oil that's best for your vehicle...(the most expensive). I'm sure they could tell when I pulled up that I would need extra quarts of oil. I wonder why they weren't so reluctant to share that information with me from the beginning as well!?!?! I'll never go there again. I'm sure they will be eventually out of business with their prices and lack of honest customer service skills. Word of advice, in this day in age and in the economic struggle we are in...create good re-pore with your locals. THEY WILL BE THE ONES TO KEEP YOUR BUSINESS'S AFLOAT!
I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. As with most service stations, they checked the other fluids and told me that my transmission fluid and some other fluid needed to be changed and that two other filters should be changed. Given that I didn't have very much time I told them to just change the fluids - how much could that cost? An extra $180.00!!!!! At no time when they were telling me about my bad fluids did they tell me what it could/would cost. When I asked the service tech why he didn't tell me it would cost so much, his response was "well you didn't seem to care." Didn't seem to care!!!! Are you kidding me! Who doesn't care about money, especially these days! He managed to take $30. off because that's all he could "justify". How about the fact that you were dishonest with a customer. As with other places, I'm sure there are some people out there who have had good experiences, but I will never return due to this bad business practice. If you do decide to go, be sure to ask how much the extras they inevitably find are going to cost. They sure aren't going to tell you.
