Located in Long Island City, N.Y., Most Precious Blood School was founded in 1937. It is a Roman Catholic coeducational elementary school under the governance of Brooklyn Diocese. The school offers an extensive curriculum for students in prekindergarten through grade eight and has an enrollment of more than 600 students. It has memberships with the National Catholic Educational Association and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The subjects offered include English, language arts, literature, science, social studies, mathematics, fine arts, and health and physical education. The school also offers a variety of other subjects such as arts and crafts, music, foreign language and computer technology. It offers various activities, such as basketball game, girl scouts and alter services. In addition, Most Precious Blood School participates in a variety of events that include cake sales, open houses, workshops, talent shows, sports events and educational activities.
