Sandy's Saybrook Grooming

My dog loved it there! She has been boarded & bathed there.

Unbelievably horrible experience!!! My mom dropped the dog off on Wed afternoon - 24hrs before they had to leave on a 9-hr trip. My mom called Sandy to see how the dog was doing a few hours after dropping him off and Sandy said he was doing great and he had been taken out 3 times already. My mom told her if she had any problems, they wouldn't be leaving until the next day - Thurs. They heard nothing.

Thurs afternoon they left on their trip. Then Fri at 6am they got a call from Sandy saying come and get the dog now. She couldn't get him out of the cage, said he chewed the leash. My parents offered ideas and options, Sandy wouldn't hear of it. My parents or someone had to come get the dog by 8am Sat. They had just arrived in IL and were supposed to stay until Mon morning! They suggested she put the dog outside in a kennel instead of a cage, but she said no there was going to be a storm. My parents said, don't worry the dog will be fine, but Sabdy said, NO come get him.

So amid crying grandchildren, disappointed children (it had been years since their last visit) and business that was not able to be attended to, my parents returned home to get the dog.

They arrived at 8am like Sandy insisted. There was NO STORM, and none of the dogs supplies were ready. My mom had to ask for each one individually. Sandy told her one of the items-a bag was ruined by the dog. My mom said she didn't care, she wanted anyway. Sandy replied, if you want a bag that's been peed on???? My mom said yes. And there was nothing wrong with the bag. Also note - there was NOTHING WRONG WITH THE LEASH!!!!

Unbelievably my parents paid her for boarding!! I told them they should sue her for trip expenses. When they arrived the dog was walking around just fine and she had the gall to say he was a good boy!!!!!
