I'm surprised to see the two negative reviews on here because I've been a loyal fan of Chad's for the past 11 years. I met him at L'eau de Vi and then followed him to Clay to Wink to his newest home, his very own Salon Intution. I've lived all over the world and have had my hair cut and colored by the stylists in some of the most style-conscious cities in the world (including Kim Kardashian's stylist in NYC) and I can genuinely say that I have never found anyone as talented as Chad. I currently live 8 hours away from Asheville (where I grew up), but I still make the trek back every few months to go to Chad. If he were in any major metropolitan city, you can be sure that you'd have to book months in advance and you'd also be paying hundreds and hundreds for his talent. I've sent many of my hometown friends his way over the years and now they too board planes to see him before they let anyone else touch their heads. He's an artistic master with a truly kind soul and if he's ever running late it's because he cares genuinely about making every client feel great about his work. He will take the time to do precise, quality work whether you're a new client or a veteran like myself. For that I will always return to him and I will gladly wait a few extra minutes because I know he will give me the same care and attention. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I can't recommend him highly enough.
This nail salon has been open for 4 months. As a retired cosmetologist I know the standards of cleanliness nail salons Are held to. Their implements came out of sterilized packets from an autoclave. I've been to 2 other nail salons in Asheville and haven't seen them in use. They had barbacide containers that appeared fresh(ie no sediments floating in the containers) and the place in general appeared tidy. Now for the service. My daughters and I went for basic pedicures, which in my opinion, was just as good as spa pedicures I've received elsewhere. They had a bear pedicure chair for my younger daughter and my older daughter received a free nail design because it was her birthday. I told my technician my ankles were sore, and he worked them out for me too. The thing I dread most when getting a pedicure is when they pull out the razor for callouses, which is ILLEGAL, they didn't even try it on me, usually I have to argue that I don't want the razor, but I didn't even see one in their implements. They instead used a pumice like file, which did the job fine. All of our polish looks good and I know my toes feel great. So if you're looking to try a new place I'd put it on your list.
WOW!!!!! All I have to say is WOW!!! This salon is the best in WNC. I recently started going to Tyler and he has done my hair 3 times now; and each time, I tell him something new to do and he does it PERFECTLY!!!!! However, this time he suggested that we try something new and modern, "ombre" ...HE DID AN AMAZING JOB!!! The placement was perfect and he was so particular about his work. I left there feeling like royalty, I felt so pretty and had several compliments on my hair all day!!! Thank you Tyler, you are the best!!! I also see Kim for my nails. She is fabulous! She ACTUALLY cares about my nails and wants me to have the best. I love her and I am so glad I found her! Rachel does my eyebrows and I have never felt so pampered while just getting my eyebrows done. I went on my lunch break to get them waxed and left without one welt or red spot on my face! AMAZING!!! I LOVE THIS SALON AND I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! Everyone there treats me like family and I feel at home everytime I go!!! I actually enjoy going to get my hair, nails and eyebrows done!!! Thank you AVARI family!!! Brandi and Kim you have done a fabulous job!!!!!
