RUN do not walk to King Daddy's Chicken and Waffles in West Asheville. It is so amazingly good. EVERYTHING was incredible. The staff is fantastic and very attentive. The owners are the nicest people and very generous to the local community. For appetizers we ate the Zucchini Cakes, Sweet Potato Hush Puppies (pour some blueberry jam on it - trust me) and my husband had the Poutine. I had the Korean Fried chicken (crispy fried and tossed with ginger soy sauce, served with pickled radish) with pumpkin waffles and it was beyond amazing. My husband had the Habanero Sweet Potato chicken - it was delicious, but the Korean is the best!!!! Our kids ate yummy fried chicken and waffles. They insisted on getting bacon on the side - big thick pieces. Our daughter is Gluten Free and she loved her GF friend chicken and waffle. Just give them a heads up because it takes a little longer than the rest of the food. King Daddy's doesn't claim to be Gluten Free, just Gluten Less, but she did not have any reactions. We were so beyond full, even with leftovers, so we didn't have a chance to try dessert. What a wonderful addition to the restaurant scene in Asheville!!!!
We went in for a presentation. Not only did they treat us with respect, but they did not do high pressure sales. We decided to buy the membership and we are so glad we did. Today, I booked my first gold week in Naples Florida in a 3 bedroom condominium for an entire week in April for $450! I was shocked!!!! The place has a spa and a golf course. We are so excited. We called the resort just now and they wanted $1900 for the same week in April in a 1 bedroom. They didn't even offer us a 3 bedroom. The person we talked to about the condominium took several days to get back with us.. but it was well worth it to have found this great deal. We will savethe money we spent on the membership soon if we keep getting deals like this! This membership is good for families!
Zaxby's on Hendersonville road not only has great food but they have a heart as well! I recently approached the store manager about a young soldier from this area who was having a tough time after seeing one of his buddies killed in combat. He was homesick, he missed his loved ones he missed Zaxby's tonque torch sauce. When I told the GM about this young man he went in to the back and came out with a large jar of the sauce. I offered to pay for it and he declined saying they wanted to donate it to this young man. What a great GM. Though the sauce will take a month to get to this soldier in Afghanistan it will make home seem like not so far away. Kudos to Zaxby's for not only the great food but the support of one of our own.
