Overall
Very proffesional and compassionate

I had to put my baby to sleep today after finding out that she had cancer. I was not prepared and unsure of what to do. My vet recommended that i talk to the folks at forever faithful and that they offered creamation services and burial services. The lady that help me at forever faithful was so compassionate and answered all my questions. They help make it a little easyer to face the loss of a family member.

Overall
Impersonal and inefficient

I made arrangements for my cat to be cremated at Forever Faithful. He was picked up from the lab where his autopsy was performed on March 1 or 2. I was advised that I would receive a phone call when he was ready to come home. I called approximately one week later and was informed that he had not yet been ""processed"" and would be called as soon as he was ready.

I called again today, March 19, to see what was happening. The woman on the phone was very businesslike and stated that he had been ""processed"" and that an ""attempt had been made"" to call me last week. I stated that I had received no calls or messages. She said ""well, he is processed and we just need to make arrangements for his return."" She stated their operating hours (10:30-2:00, other hours by appointment).

Now, losing a pet is very difficult. I know it is ""just a cat,"" but a modicum of respect for my grief would have been nice. I don't like to think of my kitty being ""processed."" There could be a better way of putting it. That aside, I would have appreciated an apology for the delay in getting in touch with me. After checking my caller-id, I can report that no attempt to get in touch was made. I have worked in customer service all of my working life, and know very well that a touch of human kindness and decency can go a long way.

I didn't make a scene on the phone, but as soon as I hung up I felt sad and angry about the ordeal. My husband is going to go pick up my cat, because I don't want to deal with the coldness of whoever it was that I dealt with ever again. Don't know what writing a review will accomplish really, but I just had to vent it somewhere:( Not pleased, and won't be using their services again.

Note: I called a couple of other places, but got machines. After making arrangements with this place, I got a call back from Best Friends Pet Cemetery & Crematorium. The gentleman apologized for not getting my call right away. I told him I had made other arrangements. He was very nice and offered his condolences on my loss. He referred me to grief counseling resources and suggested adopting a new pet from a rescue facility when I was ready. He told me a few things about his own pets, and was unbelievably kind. I wish that I had used their services after the kindness he showed a complete stranger though he had nothing to gain.
