I LOVED the atmosphere of this restaurant. I loved the Vienna Salad and the dressing was excellent. Beer was served in an authentic boot. The dessert was good. I liked that dressing and other items were available for to-go purchase.
The "Needs Improvement":
In my opinion, it was a bit expensive. The parking was difficult to maneuver and it was a small lot. I wasn't crazy over the flavor of the landjager. Also, I wasn't crazy over the Bratwurst appetizer due to portion size (also wish I could get it plain and put mustard on it). I also wish they offered a pork jager schnitzel.
Overall, I would return to this restaurant. Thanks for letting me share my opinions.

Having been born to German immigrants, I was subjected to German food, both home cooking as well as restaurants around the Chicago German neighborhoods, so I feel reasonably qualified to rate this restaurant. Our family (5 adults and 2 children) had the occasion to dine here recently and to use a current term it was ""Most Excellent"". The best I have ever had, even in Chicago restaurants. Everyone had something different and totally enjoyed what they ordered. Please stop by and enjoy as our family did.
