        I just had the tastiest and most reasonably priced meal I could ask for at Henry James BBQ! The staff was incredibly friendly and I had a wonderful lunch break. The hushpuppies are the BEST I have ever had, crunchy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside with no grease. I did not like the bbq slaw as I prefer cole slaw but that's the only negative I can think of! They even hand slice the bbq if that's how you prefer it and you can get any sides you want with the trays and plates. This is a MUST if you love bbq.

        Henry James is a family owned and operated Barbecue restaurant offering a variety of delicious southern meals. There are daily specials and lots of options to take to your family or to a large group or party.

        Henry James cooks only Lundy Pork shoulders on a rotisserie cooker. The meat is then hand chopped and sauced with the House Secret Sauce. The sauce is vinegar based and a sweet sauce and a hotter sauce is offered on the side. Popular Options – BBQ pork is moist with a mild vinegary taste with roasted and pepper flavors and is chopped fine or coarse or sliced. The barbecue beef ribs are tender with a tomatoey Kansas City-type sauce; mildly tangy, slightly sweet with a good smokey flavor. The same goes for the BBQ chicken offered on fridays. The Brunswick Stew has crushed tomatoes, corn, lima beans, peas diced potatoes, shredded chicken and pork, chunks of beef, seasoned perfectly. The slaw is red Lexington-style, and the hush puppies are famous with their golden brown outside and moist inside with out a drop of grease!
