Pure Dermal Care

I've been struggling with adult acne for the past few years and it seemed to have progressively gotten worse when my family moved from Detroit to Denver's dry/dessert climate. I was seeing 2 different dermatologists over the last year. Each for 6 months. The first put me on Accutane which made my skin dry, dehydrated and more visible lines and wrinkles. The second dermatologist put me on 2 different oral prescriptions AND the topical medication Aczone. My face continued to get dry and texture bumps were still prominent and quite visible. I was also told to use a hot washcloth on my "bumps" which always made my face red, irritated and seemed to only make those bumps angrier.....

Fast forward to just this past weekend and I am already seeing positive changes in my skin. I decided to make an appointment at Pure Dermal Care with Brittany, after the owner(Lynette) personally reached out to me, after I asked for Aesthetician recommendations on Nextdoor. They seem to specialize in adult acne, as well as dealing with my drying and aging skin, too! I was starting to wonder what was going on with my face and if these were even true "pimples". I was informed that I definitely have dry and dehydrated skin, and that the majority of the products and Rx's I've been using are specifically for oily-prone skin. Totally counterproductive to the type of skin I have. I have "dry acne" related to elements, diet and dehydration which makes total sense. I should also be using ice or an ice cube to calm down any visible bumps. I would've thought that a dermatologist would've been my answer to clear and healthy skin, but boy was I wrong. I am so impressed with Pure Dermal Care and will continue to see Brittany for regular appointments at a VERY affordable price. I feel hopeful that I will finally get my skincare need met through a personal and pampered regimen.
