It was a good deal for what all I was able to get done! I like that this place was laid back with decent music playing at a good volume rather than a clique of "elitists" with crap attitudes staring you down, blaring barely comprehensible "death" metal or "mush mouth" rap. It felt like I was in a proper business rather than some dramatic teenage night club. (I'm only 36, pierced, & heavily tatted, so it's not like this is being seen through the eyes of an old fart or a newbie). And I'm happy with what I got tatted! Nice employees/artists, clean & welcoming inside, no "holier than thou" vibe, and I got what I had in mind. Many places upon calling, answer the phone: "Tattoos". I never understood that. If you are working someplace & are either too lazy to say the full name, too disgruntled, or too drugged up to do so, maybe you need to re-evaluate your lot in life. This place answered the phone without having to scream over loud background "noise" & with the full name of the place. The voice sounded interested in helping the client out. The answers were just that- informative ANSWERS rather than "yeah, uh-huh, I guess, yup, just come in if you want to know" etc... Give this place a try.
Alright, so this is the place to go for ink and piercings if you are ANYWHERE near Arlington, TX!! These Guy's (& Girls too) know their art form, period! I have received two tatt's from here so far and am currently saving my pennies for plenty more. I've received several tattoos through the years at various places around the state, but hands down Stones is it! First of all their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work they provide. Jeff can ink you out then take you into what has to be the most sterile piercing room anywhere, and stick whatever part of your anatomy needs a little piercing. I have not had the opportunity (yet) to get inked from Stones' other artist Joey, but I have friends that have, and SICK is all that I have to say! Both of these guys know how use their guns for sure. Donna Stone runs the shop, and her twin Cousin Kathy backs her up. Catch them both there together & you'll understand the "twin" reference! These girls will line out your next tatt or piercing for you like nobody's business! This place is tucked away in a shopping center on south Cooper right between Pioneer & Arkansas. You could practically walk there from U.T.A. Bottom line, check them out. You will not regret it!
I'M 62 YRS OLD GOT ONE TATTOO IN '68' LATER THAT YEAR HAD IT REMOVED. MY ANCESTORS CAME FROM SCOTLAND AND I WANTED THE BUCHANAN FAMILY CREST TATTOOED ON MY SHOULDER. THIS WAS A VERY DETAILED PIECE IT HAD TO BE SYMMETRICAL AND A CIRCLE WITH IN A CIRCLE. I WAS INTRODUCED TO JAY A YOUNG BLACK MAN VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. WE DISCUSSED MY HESITATION AND EXPECTATIONS. I TOLD HIM IF HE WAS TO MEET OR EXCEED MY EXPECTATIONS I WOULD MAKE IT PROFITABLE. HE DID IT, I GAVE HIM A $50 GRATUITY. ONE OF THE TATTOO ARTIST CAME IN HIS BOOTH AND SAID I HAVE TO SEE THIS THE OTHER ARTIST ARE TALKING ABOUT IT. THIS IS THE BUCHANAN CREST WHICH I CAN DISPLAY WITH PRIDE.
