Childtime: the best kept secret in day-care (learning center).



Childtime went through a phase of not having a permanent Director and things were different. After a few months a permanent Director was appointed and things seems to be turning around. However, we had already made the decision to leave and try another day-care (learning center). We were tempted by fancy technology, defined daily learning schedules and that they never had any openings (surprisingly a slot was opened & we had to act fast). After two weeks I quickly realized I made a hug mistake. The new daycare was all smoke and mirrors. Nothing was occurring as promised during the tour. Nevertheless, leaving Childtime helped me appreciate this day-care more.



So what made me run back to Childtime.

1) The friendliness in the greeting as I enter and exit daily.

(no fake greetings here)

2) The Staff and Directors takes the time to listen to my concerns big or small. Even if my concerns were out of the norm (first time mom).

3) The teachers verbally telling me how my child's day went and not just handing me her daily sheet.

4) There ability to take care of my child's needs (sleeping, feeding, diaper changing) and also finding time to engage with her in developmental activities (physical, cognitive, social, emotional, etc.).

5) The class sizes are small. My child gets more attention and less accidents occur.

6) My daughter loves the staff

(I watch my child's emotions because she is only 18 months old and she can't say "mommy I hate these people". The glow she had on her face when I went to visit two weeks after leaving was amazing. She wouldn't let the teachers go, I had to pull her away.)

7) Lastly, I am at ease when I leave my child because I know she is in great hands. Being able to go to work and not worry about my child is priceless.



Every day-care has its plus and minus and they are still working thought some things but Childtime is right for my family.
