LA Fitness has a professional staff and can definitely find a membership that best fits your needs! I don't know what Colin was saying about being limited to that "one" location. They have all kinds of memberships, statewide and nationwide. The trainers are awesome and will help you when you need it. On top of that, when you sign up you get a free fitness assessment with a personal trainer! The prices are pretty good for the amenities they serve to you. You also have to realize that your surrounding yourself with others that pay the same prices. Also, no contract and no cancellation fee! As for guest passes, they only offer them to first timers with a local TX ID (within 25mi) or if you can prove to them that you live in Arlington. The equipment is up-to-date and hardly any discrepancies with them. I love the layout of the club and really, just go check it out for yourself. It's the only club in North Arlington that suits my needs. Overall I give this club a 5/5!
I am 43, thought that I was in decent shape and wanted to lose the "40's pouch". I'd tried different exercises in the past but just couldn't seem to achieve my goal. I decided to give Arlington Martial Arts a try. Both Hope and Zac are amazing instructors...they REALLY do care about your well being. Not only do they work you out but they give you tips on nutrition as well. I was able to get my BCI down to 5.5%! It also helped me reduce my 1.5 mile run times by almost 30 seconds. (I am a Navy Reservist as well and have to maintain certain Navy physical fitness standards). Their training environment is focused on precisely that...training. They are very focused but friendly. If you want to be challenged and attain your physical fitness goals or new year resolutions without the hype (and drama) that you sometimes find at other establishments, this is DEFINITELY the place for you!!! Check it out!! Time and money well spent.
My 10 year old daughter has been studying martial arts for about a year. During that time, both Ms. Song and Master Lewis have been an integral part of her training. They connect very well with children, are fun and motivating, yet hold students to high standards. At Arlington Martial Arts, your kids will learn martial arts skills that will transfer to life skills. For example, when our daughter was preparing for a belt test that included a particularly challenging board break requirement, Ms. Song patiently coached our fearful daughter on the proper breaking technique which led to her successfully executing the break with confidence. She was all smiles as you can imagine and this translated into greater commitment to her training. Her dad and I have also noticed that she carries herself more confidently and is more disciplined overall because of her martial arts training.
