I 've gotten to know the owner and I take offense at the 1 star review. These people are kind good people. My Husband and I go there every week. The quesadillas and wings are really good and my husband really likes their pitas and burgers. I for one love their Smoked Salmon salad. And where else can you have coffee and breakfast out on a patio? Found it curious there was a one star review but then I looked at the date and found out that was only the second week they were open. I would chalk it up to being new. I could see giving that kind of review if the restaurant had been around 10 years or more like the restaurants that they listed. 2 weeks since it opened? C'mon-cut them some slack-its a really good place to eat and inexpensive. I would disregard the 1 star review-it's probably an employee that got fired
While I love Carolina pork barbeque, good BBQ beef brisket is even better. You can't find a really good beef BBQ locally, until now. My daughter and I ate here, after a friend recommended it. The restaurant is almost new, very clean, with a friendly staff. I had what I'm sure was nearly a full pound of brisket, chili cheese grits, bakes beans and hushpuppies for less than $8.00. The brisket was "melt in your mouth" and the chili cheese grits were perfect. This beef brisket reminds me of Dickey's BBQ in Arlington, TX and it doesn't get any better than that. The location is a little bit out of the way (past Bowman Gray Stadium), but it is worth the extra couple of miles.
I've gone to this establishment several times whether to dine in or for take out. The employees are amazing and so friendly. My office has used them to cater luncheons and every time the meals were delicious. I also ate there for just myself and my family. We continue to visit this wonderful establishment at least once a month if not more. So if you are looking for a great BBQ place to eat, you must try Little Richard's Bar-B-Que.
