Endometrial Ablation
For most patients, endometrial ablation can be done in the office with mild sedation. Downtime is minimal â€“ most women are able to return to their normal activities within a day or two. Because it removes the lining of the uterus, endometrial ablation is only for women who are sure that they donâ€™t want to become pregnant in the future. Highly reliable birth control is necessary for the rest of a womanâ€™s childbearing years. Whether endometrial ablation or another minimally invasive heavy bleeding treatment option is right for you, weâ€™re dedicated to providing the best solution for you and your lifestyle. After endometrial ablation, many women experience very light, shortened periods while others report having no periods at all. Instead of a week, your period might last a day.
