Papa Joes Oyster Bar & Grill
"We wouldn't have found this place if we hadn't talked to the locals. They don't advertise-- they don't need to. If you're looking for a fine dining atmosphere, this isn't it. If you're looking for the best oysters in the country, stop here. It was $40 for the two of us, tip included, and that was with a beer and an appetizer-- not expensive at all in my book. The patio seeting is all windows right out on the docks, air conditioned, and perfect. If you sit at the bar, you get to watch the staff shuck the oysters in front of you... they're on ice lining the entire length of the bar. If you decide to go raw, and you're from someplace where raw oysters just don't come around, the "right" way to do it is to drop the oyster on a saltine cracker and give it a little hot sauce. Yum."
