I loved Dr Cambria - he was sincere and made me feel very comfortable, he didn't have that clinical bedside manner, he was very personable. He explained all possibilities of what my diagnosis could be and avenues he'd take to avoid surgery or MRI. He reviewed my X-Rays with me and made sure I thoroughly understood my issue. After graduating from Boston College, Dr. Cambria earned his MD from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed a year of general surgery internship at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore where he rotated through the Maryland Shock Trauma Unit while it was in its infancy. He then had 4 years of orthopaedic residency at the Boston University Medical Center. His program included total joint training at the Lahey Clinic and pediatric orthopaedic training at the Shriner’s Hospital in Springfield, MA.

Robin is a registered and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who received her degree from Housatonic Community College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southern Connecticut State University. She has extensive experience with post-surgical rehab. Her specialties include sports medicine and injury prevention. Other areas of continued study and interest include aquatics, wound care and cervical and lumbar post-surgical rehabilitation. Robin has been instrumental in initiating a free clinic sports program for Oxford Babe Ruth baseball league. The program emphasizes stretching and strengthening instruction as well as educating young athletes on the importance of maintaining the exercise regimen to prevent injuries.

Dr. Richo is a Board-Certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery and reconstructive surgery of the foot. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Yale University where he was also a member of the Yale Freshman football team. He then began a research career at The Rockefeller University followed by a doctoral degree in Cell Biology from the University of Miami. Upon completion of his thesis, he matriculated to the University Of Miami School Of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His Orthopaedic residency was completed at UMDNJ-University Hospital, Newark, New Jersey where he was selected to the prestigious position of administrative chief resident. Upon completion of residency, he extended his surgical training in foot and ankle surgery by completing a fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania. During this fellowship he was involved in the care of athletes from Villanova University, the Philadelphia 76ers, and dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet.

Laurie graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. For the past 35 years, Laurie has concentrated her practice in the fields of orthopaedic and sports medicine, which also includes 13 years of aquatic therapy. She specializes in post-surgical rehabilitation and her treatment philosophy is based primarily on the teaching and methods of Brian Mulligan. She believes that the key to a successful patient outcome is quality clinical care and a strong home management program. When not working Laurie enjoys playing golf and tennis and working on strength and conditioning at a local gym.

Michael Suomala received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1997 from Springfield College. Mike has over twenty years of experience, providing local communities with the highest level of outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy. He holds an additional certification in weight training from the International Weight Trainers Association. His treatment philosophy incorporates a combination of manual therapy, dynamic activities, therapeutic exercises, sports medicine and modalities to help patients return to the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Mike enjoys activities such as golf, water-sports, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.

She holds an additional Certification in Pedorthics for the specialty of lower extremity biomechanics and fabrication of foot orthotics from the Temple School of Podiatry. Other areas of continued study and interest include manual therapy, sports medicine, and aquatic therapy. Lori continues to enjoy sports and physical fitness, especially figure skating, and encourages people of all ages to continue to enjoy the benefits of exercise.
