Michigan Islamic Academy is an educational institution that offers a variety of academic and religious courses to students in pre-kindergarten through grade 11. The school is approved by the Michigan State Department of Education. It offers various educational courses, such as Arabic language, Islamic studies, mathematics, computer applications, science, social studies, and health and physical education. Michigan Islamic Academy also conducts classes in world cultures and geography, economics, law, Web development, English literature, journalism and reading. In addition, the academy has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various fundraising activities for the school s overall development. Michigan Islamic Academy has been operational for more than 20 years and is located in Ann Arbor, Mich.
