If you put a preference for a certain vehicle in your reservation and call ahead to make sure they have that preference recorded, they will tell you they cannot guarantee it but "they will do everything they can" to get the model that you prefer. Actually, they seem to have no clue about how to accommodate your preference. I don't think they even have a system in place to share that preference between the staff that are behind the counter renting away vehicles. They just give you empty talk about doing everything they can to seem friendly but it is just that....empty talk. It happened to me when I reserved the 15 passenger van from this location and made super clear that I preferred the Ford over the Chevy and called many times to confirm they recorded my preference. On the day of pick up, the young smiley person behind the counter offered either or to the guy right in front of me!!! she had no clue about my preference. Luckily, that guy did not care and I got what I wanted.
I live in Oklahoma and was in Michigan visiting family.National Car Rental by far had the best customer service. They rented me a new car, without a bunch of hassle,I had roudtrip Train tickets and a debit card. They were awesome.We always go to National for our rentals because we get great cars,and no hassle.Vacationed in Tuscon,Az and rented National car rental there,we got the same service.I won't rent from any other company.
Repeat customer who continually has great service at this location. This time I was given a free luxury upgrade much to my surprise. The only thing I would improve is to have the interior cleaned a little better. And I love that they have an after-hours key drop box that allows me to drop it off after they are closed but before the next day without being charged extra.
