This is the most horrible , unfriendly place I have ever visited. I cannot beileve anyone would give Mrs Tang or her customer service more than a half a star. When I first arrived for my appointment I was never greeted but I stood in line for atleast ten minutes. While giving the one person in front of me the courtesy of privacy by standing back from them another customer was assisted without acknowledging me my present of being next in line. Then after sixteen or more minutes I was brought back to the Mrs Tang where she rusch my eye exam through as if she had better things to do with her time. I was then rush to the cashier, only to be told that someone could help me pick out my frame but would have to cease assisting me when another customer come from the back from seeing Mrs. Tang. Mind you this was courtesy I failed to recieve when I initially arrived. After picking my frames quickly I was told one pair would be in on March 27 and the other on March 30. I paid the 336.00 on the pretense that these people had given me the correct information. On Mar 27 I called and was spoken to in a harsh, disrepected manner and was told that both pair would be in on March 30 but at 5 :06 pm on March 27 , Mrs tang or her stafff called me to say the glasses were in but it was too late to pick them up. I find this type business disgusting and there is absolutely no way I will take my daughter who also need an eye exam and glasses to this office. I would advise all to go to somewhere else and not give Mrs Tang your business. I will also notify Tricare that this particular Walmart on old steward anchorage ak should be taken off their referral list. It was truly a horrible experience and people who work for a living or has retired should never give people like this a income.

Anchorage is so long overdue for a mega Walmart like this! I've been to other superstores on the east coast, but I'm actually more impressed with the one we have right here in Anchorage. Maybe it's because we don't have sales taxes here.. or maybe it's that they beat out all the other grocery stores on (most) prices.. whatever it is, I love the new Wallyworld and am happy to see them open! If I had to ding them on something.. it would be that their seafood department is nothing more than a freezer section. Unlike all other grocery stores, they don't offer fresh wild Alaska seafood displayed on ice. Come on guys --- this is ALASKA where we like our seafood FRESH and WILD CAUGHT !! I'll give them a pass on that though because the rest of the store is so well stocked and has a very nice layout. Anchorage is loaded with grocery stores; including countless Carrs/Safeways and Fred Meyers (I lost track of how many of each we have), two Target superstores, two massive Costcos, two large Sams Clubs, two New Sagaya oriental markets, a large Natural Pantry, a midtown Walmart and New Seward Mega store, and tons of smaller asian and hispanic grocers as well as a smaller neighborhood ""Red Apple"" market. There is definitely no shortage of shopping options in this city. But I say kudos to Walmart for keeping their prices so low that they have all the other places running sales! ;o) I really like the fact that our Walmart sells local dairy milk (Matanuska Maid) cheaper than any other grocer in the city! I also like that they stock a good deal of Alaska grown vegetables. I still shop other stores when there's a deal too good to be true, and of course... for super fresh seafood, I'll go wherever the best deal on wild (NOT FARMED) Alaska seafood can be found. :o)
