Superior tried to weld a very thin fuel tank for me and it was so rusty it kept blowing holes. They gave me a suggested fix and returned my tank with no charge. They said if we don't fix it, we do not charge. I have been doing buisness with Superior for many years and their name says it all.

We were in Alaska from Wa State on Vacation When the bumper on my camper started to fall off made it to Anchorage stopped by the shop to get fixed, got on it as soon as they could. Fixed and we were back on road all the way home to Washington . I would recommend them to anyone needing a fix. Terry

Called these guys with a needed repair on an RV tow-bar - original part was aluminum, ready to break; needed one fabricated from steel. Stopped by with old part - gave them measurements - they machined a new one, including threaded holes for grease-fittings (took from old part). Told them I had a couple days in Anchorage, but could extend if needed - they had done next day - even powder-coated (tho' I didn't really need that). Fellow I talked with on front-end was confident it was an easy job - fellow I picked up from (after hours) - Dwight - was apologetic it took so long. I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer, but these guys aren't working with the absolute latest CNC equipment, so they have to "know how stuff works" vs. just put-the-metal-in-the-cabinet-and-push-the-button." I like working with folks who KNOW what they're doing, vs. button-pushing kids just out of high-school. No complaints about the price or turn-time - good, solid, trustworthy folks.

Heed Caution!

Heed Caution when applying for employment with Superior Machine. (Especially if you are moving to Alaska from out of state.) They have gone under new shop management. This new manager is a very young and power wound individual. He and the super internment will convince you that it is a very easy going atmosphere and prod you along as if you were doing just fine, then suddenly they will let you go with no warning just before your probationary period is up. This has happened to 5 qualified machinist in a one year period. Be forewarned!
