We have eaten here many times, but the Hostess is rude and acts like she owns the place. Hostess gets upset if you don't sit where she wanted to put you.
Food is usually okay, but I do find the center of manicotti is always cold.
This particular night there were 8 of us. We waited forever for our food, the waiter?s were delayed. We finally got our food. We all ate and chatted.
No one asked if we wanted coffee or dessert because the hostess had come back to our table several times to see if we were done, feeling pressured to hurry. Hurry? They are the ones who took forever for the food to come out. (which we never complained). The bill came out and as I was signing it and talking the bus boy/man was cleaning EVERYTHING off our table. I told him to stop as it was very rude to clean the table completely off and take our drinks without asking. He said nothing and continued to remove everything to wipe down the table. My husband and I we very mad they pushed us out for the next people who were waiting. I mentioned it to the Hostess (the one that?s been there forever) and she just smiled and said she was sorry. When we got outside we decided the owner should know we were rushed out and our drinks were taken before we were finished.
So I called the owner Andrew and told him and he made many excuses for them and then finally said he would ask about what happened. He called 3 days later to inform me that he found nothing wrong that night. That the hostess says I complain all the time (only about the seat she tries to put me at EVERYTIME I'm there). We have never returned our food or complained. I told the owner that I was appalled at her comment and that she?s usually a rude person anyways and she doesn't like me because she tries to sit me at a table she knows I don't like. Yes I ask for a different place to eat at, but who doesn't...this makes me a bad customer. So I said to him, common sense should tell you that if I were a constant complainer I would not come back and he would have heard from me before now....makes sense right? He say's too me..""What would you like me to do?"" I said refund me the 4 drinks we had and that would be fine.....$11.00 dollars on a 126.00 bill and he said no. So I am going to write this story every time I can and I am contacting the BBB to let them know what a crappy business Andrew is running. He is very hard to talk to and rude also. He told me don't be surprised if I come back in and the Hostess refuses me....That?s when I knew I was dealing with a total idiot. Refuse a GREAT customer all because of one complaint, how about I won?t ever be back and there are several people that won?t go there either.
So for complaining it gave the hostess permission to refuse service too me. I cannot believe there are such ignorant people in business. His hostess is not an asset to his company, she?s never happy.

My husband took me out to celebrate Mother's Day (Saturday night to avoid the crowds) and we had the most attentive server, Bruce, who told us quaint jokes and made sure our food was to our liking. We had the Seafood Lasagne which was easily the best we've had since leaving the Pacific NW. I'm from Alaska and my husband is an East Coaster so he's a real seafood afficionado.

Bad experience, horrible food , horrible service. I don't go there any more and I do not recommend this restaurant..Very rude manager that instead of helping and giving service to customer , he is using bad language to talk. Their food is frozen inside and hot outside.

The calamari looked like it had been frozen and definitely not home made,we sent it back. The atmosphere was great, but the menu was not fitting. They really need to upgrade their food selections. Though the prices were great, we will probably not eat there again.

One of the best Italian restarants in Anchorage, the menu is diverse enought to accomodate any palate', prices are resonable. The ambiance is relaxed, service excellent. Excellent bar with some flat screen tv's to keep up on news and sports, but not to loud. A must if you come to Anchorage, plenty of parking. I have always been seated promptly when I go.

I used to frequent this restaurant almost weekly. The minestrone soup is a MUST as an appetizer. The chef adds something to give it a little spice. All menu options are great and very reasonably priced. There may be a wait on Fridays and Saturdays but definately worth it.
