Best martial arts school

I am Korean and Tae Kwon Do originated in Korea. I also trained in Korea for decades- school, military, & some professional. My kids have trained here for many years. I am amazed how Champ students are very well disciplined and respectful. I know Master Yu does not focus on fighting. Many people believe Tkd is more sport and fighting just way I was trained and practiced. If you want to go Olympic this is not your perfect school, but if you want to become champion in real life- building winning habit, self confidence, discipline , and respect, Champ provides best instructions. By watching classes I also learn a lot from Master Yu and instructors. They share philosophies and cultures. I want my children to stay healthy, do well in school, & build practical life skills. I am very satisfied with this school. Champ Rocks!

I have been training with Master Yu for four years now at Champ Martial Arts. Over the least four years, I have made many improvements in my life, such as my weight, and my attitude problems, as my family and friends can attest to. I hear that question a lot, from family, friends, and teachers. A lot of people think that Tae Kwon Do is all about the kicking and the punching and the sparring. I started Champs thinking the same thing. That idea was gone within the end of the month! I will answer this question, not only for myself, but also for the people who don't know. The most important thing in Tae Kwon Do is the spirit that comes with training. When I started, I was very overweight, my physical stamina simply did not exist, and I gave up too easily. Master Yu, however, did not let me give up. At first, I was like, “Okay, he likes to push us hard.” Now, though, I understand that Master Yu would not let me sit out because he wanted me to succeed, and I am forever grateful, not only for him having confidence in me, but for helping me grow a strong sense of strong self-confidence.

Very poor

I agree it's more of a daycare I went and I've been doing TKD for a little over a year in the lower 48, and ther student couldn't kick above their own belt ad that's a second degree blackbelt in the adult class,I could have easily taken 3 of their students and honestly that's the adult class, the jump up and down at the end of class and yell about how happy they are c'mon this isn't kindergarten I'm going to j parks tae kwon do next

Not the best experience

Pros: Multiple programs available Cons: 1. Poor customer service, At times quantity over power quality 2. Contract terms (do not fall for full contracts, pay as you go) 3. Poor customer service 4. too expensive **Martial arts instruction is a service industry. If the instructor isn't providing what you want, move on. Let him try to pay the bills without your money. As the consumer, you have this right**. **Anchorage heve better options for your child in town.**

Stay away, they advertise a Ma...

Stay away, they advertise a Martial Arts school, but after walking in, it's more like a day care facility than anything! My kid was there for a "trial lesson" after coming over from another TaeKwonDo school in the lower 48, he didn't even want to go back! He said the training was poor, that the whole class was being trained like they were all beginners, and that he had no interest in training there. I took him back a week later, just on the off chance the other class was a fluke, nope, same repetitive thing. I ended up taking him to another school, J Park TKD, and he is the first one in the car on the night he takes classes!
