It is cheaper compared to others, owner Mr.Ajit Singh Minhas and every staff is very very helpful, friendly and co-operative for every need. They have given us early check-in, late check-out and above all have not charged for 1st night when we could not check-in due to flight delay. 24hrs tea/coffee/juices are provided free, you may get some bread, butter, muffins etc. in case of emergency, unbelievable but it's true that Mr.Ajit & his team don't charge for any of these, their gesture and helpful approach makes them different from others. I would love to stay in any property to be owned and managed by them. You will get pickup & drop facility to Airport, market or any place, also to book car/cab for any trip, you may go through Mr.Ajit as it is much cheaper, in my case, for a group of 4, he has arranged a nice cab for Seward at a price cheaper than public bus or train. I wish Merrill Field Inn all the very best.

The craftsmanship and design of this unique and homey establishment make it inviting and fun. I enjoyed my stay here and must say that Jennifer and Desiree make great hostess . They were helpful and made me really want to stay even though I only wanted a few nights. My room was amazing and nice and cozy . There is wifi through out the building and even cable which was impressive sense it is a small private hotel and that is what really transformed my idea , why do we stay at fancy hotels that always look the same? I think I will stay at more private owned unique hotels like Qupqugiaq Inn from now on! It cost me $12 to take a taxi from the hotel to the airport but it was worth it. Also there is a Mexican restaurant downstairs in the same building with really good tamales . It was a bit cold outside but I walked down the street and found a beautiful library with a small park adjoined to it and to a nice walk.
I was recommended to stay at the Creekwood Inn by a co-worker of mine who had stayed in the past. The staff was very friendly & helpful in answering all of my questions. They suggested many things to do which I thoroughly enjoyed. The price was just right for my budget. I noticed all the hotels/motels are a lot more expensive here then in the lower 48.The rooms were clean and had an Alaskan feel to them which most of the other brand name hotels in Alaska lack. All in all I would definitely stay there again if I come back to Alaska.
