The Big Texan

The worst service ever. Came from out of town. Sat and waited for 15 min before even being greeted. Don't waste your time. Keep driving!!

Amazing food! Great atmosphere, delicious fudge, and fun and entertaining games for the family.

The food is good and the service there is awesome. Good beer with a lot of beautiful waitress. I'm going to stop by there again when I'm in Texas

Haven't are the food but the beer was good and cold. Cute waitress was pleasant and not stuffy like most. I will be back

This is about an early May stay at Big Texan Motel.



For the Motel:

For the Desk Staff:

The desk staff is bizarre. They don't say please or thank you. They stick out their paws and expect you to know what they want. (Credit card? License? Bribe?) If you say you want a room in a certain area, they might nod, but then they give you a room wherever they want.



Their reservation system is: call and they say okay. No confirmation number, nothing. If you arrive and they 'lost' your reservation, you're screwed. And they're not very helpful about getting a place to stay.



For the Rooms:



Front section, ground floor room. I love the decor.



The rooms were floor-to-ceiling clean, quiet, and dark when the lights were off. There were two queen sized beds. The fridge was approx 3CF and worked well.



The shower was clean and a little small. All of the lights and fans worked in the bathroom.



The heater/air conditioner worked great and quietly. When I arrived, it was 80º. The temperature dropped to 35º. The HAC kept up.



The TV is huge with lots of channels.



The WiFi is strong and fast.



There was a huge rumbling and I thought the room would be too noisy. It was a hundred motorcyclists. After that, the room was quiet and dark.



Comment:

If Big Texan would get some polite, knowledgeable Texans at the front desk — and a reassuring reservation system — they would earn four or five stars.

Worst service i have besides Denny's. Steaks were over seasoned, poor tasting, and over priced. Place is way overrated.

Great staff, Romeo was a great waiter. Food was good, a must stop for first timers.

I thought this was a catering company, it's that old 72oz steak house, dressed up like a fake cowboy. My steak was well-well done, service was a joke, come-on
