Prairie Heights Middle School, formerly known as Alta Vista Elementary School, provides learning opportunities through a range of educational and extracurricular programs for students in grades five through eight. Its campus features a basketball court, baseball diamond and football ground. The school s gymnasium provides space for physical education, recess, and athletic practices and competitions. Its curriculum includes classes in various subjects, such as science, social studies, computers, mathematics and English. The school also provides programs in language arts, instrumental music and physical education. It offers several sports activities, such as baseball, basketball and volleyball. The school has a parent-teacher organization that encourages parental involvement in children s education.
