06/17/09 Wednesday - June 17th, 2009 Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. However I did call before hand and asked if they had (fried catfish) on the menu and was told that they did / that was my reason for going and that the fact it cost under $10.00 dollars, but after I got there to my disappointment fried catfish isn't part of this buffet. Being tired and had just gotten off work and hungry I stayed; Although it isn't like the higher-end dining’s like Furr's or Golden Corral but it's average, and I truly enjoyed it. What I most enjoyed about it - is the fact that it has a very "quite" atmosphere; I could sit down - relax from a stressful day at work and enjoy a decent home cooked meal. Although the menu selection was far few and in between It wasn't all the hustle & bustle of discourteous people running over you at the food lines. Needless to say the price for the buffet was well worth my pennies considering the economy these days. Like myself if you and your family are on a budget looking for that home cook meal; I strongly suggest - verses pizza & chine’s buffet restaurants. I will definitely recommend others and will return again myself. I enjoyed this little family dining so much that I purchased two (2) $10.00 gift cards and left a $5.00 tip for the waitress. Something anyone rarely expect these days / almost "all" restaurants charge additional for your drinks. (Key point) at this buffet restaurant your drink is included with the meal buffet which is considered an A+ bonus (All under $10.00 dollars per person during the weekday (mon-fri) unsure about the weekends for I haven't went yet. I only hope, that your experience at the Hometown Buffet be as pleasurable as mine. I give this restaurant ***1/2 STARS : ) I am a satisfied customer.
My wife & I frequent this restaurant three times a month with friends. We find that the food is always fresh and well presented. We love the clam chowder & pizza. The current senior price (before 4:00 PM Monday-Friday) is $13.44 for the both of us, tax included. Now, how can you beat a price like that and great quality to boot! We highly reccomend this particular Golden Corral & their friendly staff.
Good one but price is high and no oysters. Driving distance too. I came to this place a few times. The last time I got couple of oysters and asked the waitress more but was told no more, that's it. I don't think I'm going to come back if there's not any better reason. It's pricy and far away but food are normal that I can find in other buffet restaurants in town. So there's no motivation for me to return.
