This place is fair. It's not that good. The wings are not the best quality, as they are sometimes smelly after you've taken a few bites. In terms of size, they are a little on the smaller side. I gotta say, what I've had of their sauces are not bad. The garlic chicken is tasty, but a little dry on the wings. Their regular hot, mild and medium are pretty standard, but good enough. I'm not sure if they accept credit/debit cards yet. The last three times I was there I had to pay with whatever cash I had in my pocket, significantly limiting the amount of food I could have ordered. I don't know why they couldn't let customers know before hand by putting a "CASH ONLY" sign on their front door. It would have only been courteous. Also, drink refills are not included with the purchase, which is weird. I could understand if they were charging you say, 75 cents for said drink. Really, you pay 1.50 or so for a medium, and it's only costing them .03 to .05 cents for that cup of soda. They've made more than 100% profit on your drink, and still want to make more. It's OK. If you don't want to travel for your wings, try this place out.
This Garcia's is very different from the others located around Albuquerque. I have to say we walked in expecting the same service and food. We were quickly shown service is no where remotely the same as the other restaurants. our waitress to star did not greet us or seem very happy to be working today. To emphasize this her first words to us were "what do you want?". This in my opinion is not a good way to start. aside from that once she took our order she never walked back to see how we were doing or to bring our chips n salsa. Which never received. it was as though she forgot about us. But I must say the thing that irritated me most was the service and attention she was giving other customers. she was very un professional. my recommendations would be to go to another Garcias because although the service is horrible here the food and the price are worth it at other Garcias.
I started with the Iced Tea of course that was filled promptly, then moved on to the Guacamole and Chips very tasty, I didn't think I was going to be able to eat anymore! However, I had a Green Chile Stuffed Sopapilla Platter that was to die for. I even used the chips to finish the last of the meat and chile remaning on the plate. At the end finished up with a warm sopapilla and honey to cool off from the Green Chile. The service time was a bit long hardly noticed though to busy with the Guacamole, and the staff casually dressed, but the Food was Great! Definitely coming back it was worth the wait, and the price was fine.
