This reservation was cancelled on line with a confirmation number given. I spoke with someone at the customer service department confirming our cancellation. This hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy instead of a normal cancel by 6:00 the night of the reservation. Per the corporate office this policy is set by the local hotel manager, Paul.I spoke with him
and he kept repeating their cancellation policy and saying I would be charged. I had printed
our cancellation number which is no longer in their system. Customer service / relations
refuses to budge - offer a credit - nothing. They have charged our card for the entire night's
stay although we didn't check in. I would never stay at a Choice hotel based on their
reaction. There has been no middle ground, no offer of a free night's stay, a discounted
night, nothing. Absolutely horrible customer relations. What happened to the customer is
always right??Very frustrating. Just an unbelievably poor experience. Hard to believe this is how they think they should do business.
