Blue Goose Cantina

There is no question that Blue Goose is a dollar or two overpriced when compared to a similiar menu elsewhere. That being said, there food is absolutely wonderful. My personal favorite is their cheese enchiladas, which come with rice (real spanish rice) and refried beans, and smothered in green onions and regular onions (yellow I guess?). There is also no question that at least this order is greasy, but that is to be expected because they actually use real cheese and they dont skimp. My one complaint is that if you want extra sour cream, it is $1.50 literally a spoonful...maybe two. And that is just wrong. I can tell you that this review holds true not just for me, but also for many many people in my office, which is very close to the Blue Goose in Addison. In fact we catered lunches one week from different (good) restaurants every day, and the blue goose was by far the favorite. If you like Mexican food you have to at LEAST give them a try!

I realize we have an embarrassment of riches where Tex-Mex joints are concerned here in the Dallas area, but you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't check out the Blue Goose on Midway in Addison. Although I've never done it, it would be easy to just make a meal on the bean soup and freshly-made tortillas (say it with me "fresh, homemade tortillas"--smiling yet?). However, the menu is so chock-full of wonderful choices, it would be hard to limit yourself so. The fajitas, margaritas and trash-can nachoes are legendary. In fact, in all my many, many visits I've never been served anything that was less than stellar. An added plus is the smiling, eager staff that always seems happy to be there and pleased to see you. All this adds up to a happy, satisfied, and very loyal customer.
