General Info

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services provides medical, family planning, adoption and child support services. Located in Ada, Okla., the department offers protection, treatment and identification services against abuse and neglect. It also provides financial and medical assistance programs to refugees and offers therapeutic services to children. In addition, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services provides vocational training and employment services. Its child care program offers supervisory, educational and nutritional services. The department provides the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which includes winter heating, energy crisis management and home repair assistance services. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services community services include commodity distribution, child support enforcement and volunteering. The department operates residential facilities that offer medical and vocational training services to its residents.
