The Old Mill Restaurant

Friendly and Homie, love all of the people that work there. I think their food and drinks are the best in Acworth.

Sat. January 28, 2011. We were celebrating 2 family birthdays and had reservations for 1 p.m. There were 11 of us. On arrival there was no one to greet us - finally a waiter appeared and asked us to wait while he put tables together for us. 10 mins. later our drink orderwas taken. 30 minutes later our food order was taken and 30 minutes after that the food arrived. We had to ask for bread - they brought 6 rolls for 11 people!

Never have I experienced such disgraceful service and on top of that the food was poor. NEVER AGAIN

The Old Mill Restaurant is under new ownership and reopened December 1st. The new Chef has an all new menu. Three of us went there to celibrate my birthday and had an excellent meal. We started with Baked Gulf Oysters Rockefeller Style. They were the best Mom has ever had and they are her favorite way to eat oysters. The service was outstanding. My prime rib was cooked just the way I ordered it, medium rare. My wife's crab cakes were excellent ! Mom had scallops and thoroughly enjoyed them. The Old Mill is an excellent addition to the other fine food establishments in Acworth and has a very facinating history.
