History

YELLOWPAGES.COM is now a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T and is recognized as a leading Internet Yellow Pages and local search directory. Today's YELLOWPAGES.COM connects consumers and businesses quickly thanks to its comprehensive listings, powerful search engine, and more than a decade of experience in the local online directory industry.

YELLOWPAGES.COM can trace its history back to 1996, when an independent publisher and two telecommunications companies (SBC and BellSouth) separately launched their own online directories. They continued to operate separately until November 2004, when SBC and BellSouth entered into a partnership to create an Internet Yellow Pages joint venture, acquiring the online directory publisher then known as www.yellowpages.com, Inc. The partners immediately began to combine the three sites into one powerful Internet local search site: YELLOWPAGES.COM.

Today, YELLOWPAGES.COM offers searchable directory listings, business information, maps, driving directions and more in all 50 of the United States. Whether you're looking for a particular item, business, event, location or service, YELLOWPAGES.COM is your trusted online source for comprehensive national and local business information.

The YELLOWPAGES.COM distribution network now gives advertisers exposure to more than 100 million monthly consumer business searches. Users can locate merchants, search residential directories, research products and services, obtain maps and directions, and read or write User Reviews to share insights about favorite businesses and services. And YELLOWPAGES.COM is also available on mobile devices — new mobile search features allow users to find what they need when they're on the go.
