General Info: Kenneth O. Long started contracting in the electrical business in 1951 with a partner. The name of the company was Plowman - Long Electric Company. In 1963 Mr. Long bought his partner out and changed the name to Long Electric Co.. A corporation was later formed with Mr. Long as the sole owner. Since that time, Long Electric Co. has done electrical work on shopping centers, hospitals, schools, churches, manufacturing plants, civic centers, coliseums, courthouses, large and small residences and numerous other jobs. During this time, Long Electric Co. has never failed to complete a single job or failed to pay a bill. Today Long Electric Co. is Abilene most established family owned and operated electrical contractor without any debt or external financial dependency. You can depend upon Long Electric to be able to take care of your needs today and tomorrow Long Electric Co. is bonded and insured, all employees are covered by Workman's Compensation, and the Company and all employees are licensed by the State of Texas.
