Business History

Dr. Dineen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from the University of NC at Chapel Hill in 1975 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1980. He has practiced in the Wilmington area since that time. Dr. Dineen opened his own practice in Leland, NC in 1988 and moved to the current location in Wilmington in 1991. Dr. Dineen served as program chairman and vice president of the NC Academy of Small Animal Medicine in 1985 and in 1986 became president. From 1987 to 1990, he served on the NC Veterinary Medical Association Board.

we at NC Keeshonds highly recommend Dineen Animal Hospital, I have been using them for our adults, and litters for years now and being a breeder I really depend on quality vet care because a single bad experience can ruin a breeders reputation for selling healthy puppies. The staff really cares and is willing to take the time to explain anything and everything that they are doing, things to look out for. I have had the pleasure of using every vet on staff, met every tech and found them equally as wonderful.

I can't say enough about Dr. Thompson and the staff at Dineen! She is one of the best vets I've worked with and the whole staff is great with my multiple dogs. I don't feel only like a client, but also a member of the family!
