They may correct congenital and acquired deformities of the jaws, be involved in the repair of lacerations and fractures of the facial bones, treat the Temporomandibular Joint, or TMJ, as well as treat cysts and tumors of the jaws. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons may also perform surgery that will make dentures fit more comfortably and function properly including the placement of dental implants. Dr. Kanter has particular expertise in this field. Additionally, this office is now equipped to provide laser treatment for soft tissue lesions.
