I went to Weiss Guys Auto two times looking for a car. The first time I was in a really bad pinch as my other car had just broken down and I needed it replaced asap. At that time I decided that I was not able to afford a payment and did not get a car with them. A few months went by and I started to look for a car again. After saving money for a down payment. Something about the service there stuck out in my head so I went back and did end up getting a car through them a 2005 Dodge Neon, that I have had for 6 months now and love! This was after, the research that I did on the company, the probably billion questions I asked them, and being pretty much disgusted with every thing else I looked at! I am not normally one to write a review for somewhere... typically I just don't care enough too. I read the reviews here though, and I find them to be extremely inaccurate! Yes, Weiss Guys, just like any auto, or bank financed loan will take your car right off of your property if you are not paying your car payment! Now, these guys are so understanding and helpful that the only way this would happen is if you are late on your car payment every week and aren't communicating with them. They give you options, and plenty of warning they do not just come and take your vehicle with out trying to communicate with you or without just cause. These people do care about their customers, they have too! They are a small pre-owned car lot that needs customers by word of mouth. If I were to tell everyone they were awful and dishonest because they took my car away, but it was because I was not paying my car payment or keeping insurance on my vehicle that would be very wrong of me to blame them for something I caused. Honesty is always the best route to go, if you are embarrassed that this happened, you can not blame them for it, because you were the one in the wrong! Why should they let you keep a car that they still own, and take money out of their pockets that feeds their family? Get my drift here? Anyways, if you are still reading this you are wondering why I only gave them four stars, when I like them so much! It is because every company no matter how great they are always has room for improvement. Something that I think could be worked on is the ability to communicate more easily through other means than just the telephone. We live in an era of multiple ways of communication! All and all I think if you are looking for good honest people, and would like a car that is going to work for you these are your people. I am not saying that Weiss Guys is going to be every ones cup of tea, because they can't please everyone that walks through their door. But they do the best they can, and that is what counts!
In April of 2008 I used Wanslee Auto to purchase my used 2006 Dodge Dakota SLT quad cab. I purchased this truck with 31,000 miles for $16,400. Price: $14,950 TTL Fees: $1,400 ---------------- $16,400 @ 5.75% over 72 Months = $259/Month The positives about this vehicle purchase. 1. The salesmen Jerry Livernois, was helpful in getting me this truck. Initially, I was pre-approved through the Hughes Federal Credit Union @ 6.0%. Afer telling this to Jerry, he informed me that the interest rates had dropped even lower and proceeded to underwrite my loan through Hughes Federal @ 5.75%. That was really helpful. Thanks. 2. Another thing Jerry Livernois did for me was offer a vehicle pick-up service in Orcale(Orcale & Orange Groove). Picking this truck up in Orcale saved me 3% on city sales tax. Thanks again. There were a few negatives about this vehicle purchase. 1. Jerry Livernois Promised a detailed interior on my Dakota before delivering the vehicle. Upon picking up the Truck in Orcale, I noticed that the detailing was not done. Jerry wrote up a service order for me to have an interior detail done at Wanslee's Service Center. This required me to take some time out of my schedule to correct the mistake. 2. Typically when delivering a vehicle in a car sale, it is customary to fill the gas tank up completely. When I picked up my truck, the gas tank was only half full. 3. The 06' Dakota I purchased did not have floor mats. I had requested to Jerry that I would really like floormats. Unfortunately, Jerry told me no, that Wanslee did not have floor mats for their vehicles. I wound up spending another $40 on floor mats. All in all I would recommend Wanslee Auto. They have good prices on late model low milage vehicles. The Tax, Title, and License Fees at Wanslees were very reasonable compared to the Dealerships. A difference of about $600 between Wanslee and the Dealerships. If you are in the market for a used low milage vehicle at an affordable cost, check out Wanslees
I found a car that I liked on their web page and I went to check it out. I was greeted by a nice older Hispanic man named "Johnny". I asked first off if I could take it to my mechanic to be checked out and they had no problem with that! My mechanic drove it first and then took about 45 minutes to run tests and check out everything. He found about 1500 worth of repairs (nothing really major) just lots of small things. He told me that other than these things the car was in great shape. (I tested everything to see if it all worked and everything did) I liked what i was told and bought the car. We agreed on a price, shook on it and since they couldn't take the entire cost off my card, I gave them 1,000 for a down and the next day would bring in a cashiers check for the balance. They said that way it could be emission tested and cleaned up for me by noon the next day. I came back the next day and the car was wiped down, not cleaned like I was expecting (they could have taken it to a car wash). Jack then was doing all the paperwork and he told me that I still owed 13.00 for the emission testing. I told his that was included in the doc fee charge of 399 I was charged. he said it wasn't and that I owed it. I told him I wasn't going to pay it. Johnny overheard this and rushed over and told jack to not charge me that I had already paid. I left and when I got home, the entire trunk was filled with dirt. There was ALOT of it. I couldn't believe it! I spent the entire next day cleaning it out! My advise to buyers is do your homework! Check out what the year and model is going for in the area. Look at many cars so you know how to compare them. and for gawdz sake, take it to a mechanic to be checked out before you buy! It will cost you about 30 bucks but you will know what you're getting into.
