I recently had to file a chapter 7 bankruptcy and while doing so surrendered my current vehicle. As I began shopping for a new vehicle I came across a few dealerships that specialized in selling cars to people in my current situation. The first dealership that I visited was Reid's Auto in Lewisville. I had the WORST experience ever while dealing with Reid! He lied to me to get me out to his dealership, promising me that he could get me into several different vehicles. Once I arrived at the dealership he then tells me that he only had one vehicle that he could get me into and the price for the vehicle was way above what I know the vehicle was worth. I left Reid's Auto feeling very frustrated and disappointed, the next morning I called NEW START AUTO and spoke to Jenny and we set up a time for me to come in. I am now driving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and the process was extremely stress free and easy! Jenny never promised me anything that she could not back up and always followed through with what she said. Jenny also provided me with a carfax for the vehicle and patiently answered EVERy question that I had (lol, I asked a million questions). At the age of 41 I have bought several cars in my lifetime and I must say that this was the most pleasant experience in buying a vehicle that I have ever had! I would totally recommend New Start Auto to anyone that finds themselves needing a new vehicle. Thank you Jenny and New Start Auto for helping me start the process of rebuilding my credit through a new auto loan!
I talked with Deaderick first on the phone and then worked with David while at the dealership. Both were very professional and helpful. I did the shopping legwork and then my husband, Russ, joined me after work to look at the Murano and review the VPP pricing and trade in offer on my minivan. Russ was so pleased with the offer on the new car and the trade in that we made the deal that evening and drove home with the new Murano. I usually dread buying a car--the long day of haggling, then off to do the financing and more of a wait, but this was the best experience ever. The financing process was incredibly fast. I will definitely recommend David and Deaderick to friends and family. I also contacted the parts department yesterday to see about purchasing a cargo mat for my Murano. They had one in stock and held it for me. When I went to pick it up, I was in and out of the dealership quickly and the parts employee carried it to my car and installed it for me. Loved that it only took 10 minutes to do this! The worst part about visiting the dealership is finding parking.
I bought an 05' Excursion from LA Motorcars and I can't say enough good things about my experience. I am an out of state buyer located in Atlanta. Brennan was very honest about the condition of the vehicle, so there were not surprises when it arrived. The vehicle has been great for the past 3 weeks that I've owned it and I've been very happy with it. They were very responsive to my questions and phone calls, and brought the truck to a 3rd party mechanic of my choosing to be inspected. I can understand why someone might be upset if they bought a used vehicle and it turned out to have problems, but I don't think it's fair to give the car dealer a poor review for something that they didn't know about. I highly doubt these guys are intentionally trying to sell problematic cars to people. It goes with the territory when you buy a used car - it may have problem - that's a risk we all take no matter where your vehicle. Be smart and spend the extra money to get any vehicle you purchase pre-inspected.
