Kirin Court is probably the most popular Dim Sum restaurant in the Dallas area. Their dim sum is very good, but their service can be somewhat spotty at times. Even with their service issues, they are still the best on the East Side of town off 75. Overall, I prefer Hong Kong Royal in Carrollton for Dim Sum, but go to both depending on which side of town I am on. Kirin Court's service issues usually stem from handling busy crowds. I would recommend going to Kirin Court at a little bit of off times or maybe with a little bit of patience, they are good people with great food and your patience will be rewarded. That last part sounds a little like a Chinese proverb which I guess is appropriate.
I am a frequent customer of Tasty Eggroll II as it is near my work place. This place is excellent with nice staff, good quality food and reasonable price. What is especial for UTD students is that it offers a discount if you show your student ID. I recommend it to everyone near it. It is a great place with tasty food.
Found this place while checking out another place in the 'hood: I was also pleasantly surprised they served Dim Sum. I was starving so I just let them drop almost everything they had on the table: steamed pork buns, dumplings (pork, shark fin, Chiu Chow), baked pork pie, And egg custards for dessert. Nap time.
