My mother-in-law, a long time resident of Northport, MI., suffered a stroke last month and she was back and forth from the Hospital to the Nursing Home. When it became evident that she wasn't getting better and various options were discussed, they chose to be placed on the waiting list here. I remember when my husband called and told me that she was being moved to Munson Hospice. Instead of sadness the next words were filled with all positive adjectives as he happily described where his mom would spend the last days. I knew his mom was very happy. I'll go on to relay what was told to me by my husband who was their day and even one entire night with his 2 brothers and his dad. They couldn't stop talking about the beauty, the woods, the balcony and of course the cleanliness and most importantly the staff. They couldn't say enough about how nice and helpful the staff were. It was the 4 guys trying to figure it all out together. They wanted to take care of their mom in her last days like she had always taken care of them while they grew up. With the help of a knowledgeable and caring staff a beautiful place to be at the end of your life these four men said good-bye. Thank you Munson Hospice from the daughter-in-laws. I will make a point of visiting you on my next more pleasant trip north.
