My husband and I stopped in at Graydon's on a Wednesday. We were seated in the dinning room. The bar area seemed a little too noisy for us. I got the Guinness Stew and my husband got the fish and chips. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was fast and friendly. Their drinks "bible" was amazing! They have a huge selection of beer, wine and liqueur with a wide range of prices. My only complaint is that the lighting was really low. It made it hard to really see our food or read the smaller print in the drinks menu. We will definitely be going again!
The Heritage Restaurant is one of Grand Rapids' best kept secrets. Run by the Culinary School at GRCC this restaurant is a working classroom that offers great food at excellent prices. Your entree price includes an appitizer as well. I chose the Blue Crab Souffle and the Potatoe Encrusted Walleye. Both of which were fabulous. The menu changes twice a year to provide new challenges to the students and wonderful options to the patrons. Beer and wine are available and reservations are recommended.
Roses is the kind of place that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. Helpful staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food are reasons that bring me back time after time. Appetizers are portioned perfectly to share. Try the calamari, it is fantastic. Entrees are very reasonably priced, and the selection is great. And leave room for dessert as everything on that menu is guarenteed to be delectable.
