Place was excellent. The food was very good. The cook did a great job preparing the meal. The food was delivered in a professional way. The server was knowledgeable, and curtious. We were never without drinks, and did not have to ask for refills, they just showed up when needed. The price was in par with other places of business. They have a smoking section, but even the people in that area were not smoking, which we thought was nice. I do not like smoke in my eating areas. The restrooms were clean. I am really surprised that this place was nice as it was. In this day and age, it seems like the customer is there to please the business, not the business is there to please the customer.
There is no greater saint in the wedding dress world than Gabrielle. I bought my dress at T and it came out all wrong (sniff, sniff) and now I'm a stress case with few options left. I didn't want to go dress shopping again. When I arrived it probably was evident that I hated the whole dress shopping humiliation and frustration. Then Gabrielle appeared and tenderly worked with me in an effort to solve the problem. Gabrielle presented many options considering my time and budget and had me laughing and smiling before I left. I wish I had gone to Gabrielle's first. She is an angel and her staff appears loyal and well looked after.
Curveball is how I describe Maria's, and I don't mean that in a negative way. We had heard their radio advertisements forever before going to Maria's. It's not a shady area by any means. The exterior of Maria's has a very large and inviting patio area that undoubtedly serves well during warmer months. The inside is what threw us off. It's very spacious, almost too spacious. The sports bar theme also came as a surprise. We figured uh oh, some sort of pub food/mexican fusion going on here. The attentive servers came with menus that impressed us right off the bat. Everyone made excellent choices and out came the food.
