King Solomon RestaurantMichele L. rated

I wa holding a memorial dinner for my on. I needed everything to be perfect. We checked out every po ible ko her re taurant and catering hall in Brooklyn. We found dairy re taurant , Italian re taurant , and tandard catering hall but there wa ab olutely nothing to comp...moreare to King Solomon. It i a one of a kind hidden gem in Brooklyn. Fir tly, they offered four different fanta tic menu to choo e from but you are not re tricted to the e menu . The owner told me he would erve whatever di he made me happy. We had numerou di cu ion about the menu. Alway , I wa treated with uch patience and re pect. In the end, I cho e a combination of the four option plu everal creative di he he ugge ted. They erve family tyle with the waiter coming around with large platter and erving each gue t. Each menu offer non- top food from the beginning of the event to the end. It wa truly a banquet fit for a king. The food wa unbelievably deliciou di h after di h. It tarted coming and continued for everal hour . There were ton of cold and hot appetizer , erved by the mo t attentive waiter . Between cour e , the wait taff tood behind each table to re pond to every reque t. Each waiter wore an earpiece. The purpo e of thi wa to pa along any reque t they were unable to fulfill directly to the owner who would immediately appear to meet the mo t minor of reque t with a mile. At the end of the evening, the waiter provided take-out container for each gue t to take home the remaining food. The venue it elf wa perfect. A large round table in front of a lovely tape try curtain held all the eating card . Either ide of the table opened to the main room. Since my on loved purple and we had cho en centerpiece with purple flower . The owner provided cream colored tablecloth with purple napkin . He a i ted me in making many of the choice I ended up going with and he wa alway right. The room wa bathe in pale purple lighting which ju t pulled the whole look together. At the end of the room, i a tage behind which i a waterfall effect. I wa urpri ed when I found out the re taurant provided at no extra charge a piano player. He performed throughout the evening on tage. In the front of the tage wa a video monitor which we u ed to how our gue t a video of our on’ life. For a mall fee, the re taurant arranged get valet parking which meant o much to the gue t . All in all, it wa better than I could have ever imagined. The whole ucce of the evening boiled down to one thing: owner who are concerned with every detail of each event that take place in their re taurant. The cu tomer ervice i amazing. No matter how many time I called or popped in with que tion , they were there for me and truly happy to help me. Following the dinner, I received text and email from everyone who attended. Everyone hared the ame thought. It wa a perfectly amazing dinner. I give King Solomon five tar only becau e they will not permit me to give them one hundred. view less

Clark Love the Height

And everal thou and other regular like my elf adore thi family-run 3-meal re taurant. Indeed, if you're a regular of thi wide-range eatery, you'll be mighty familier with my face. For Height neighbor who have their choice of up to 40 different re taurant and diner , ...morethi i often their election--and not ju t becau e of it clo ene to everal ubway and the court hou e . It' run by Grecian-American who've got a wide range of employee (countrie of origin wi e) who more often than not are yelling order back into the kitchen in Spani h. But eat are pretty much available, except on Saturday and Sunday morning when young parent bring out their noi y kid to it, eat and play, oftentime for longer than the owner might wi h. But all told, their menu feature a wide range of homemade di he . They put together take-out election quickly, and even deliver. A bit of the "old home town" atmo phere i apparent a they get to know you by name. And if you're a regular you'll notice that neighbor feel right at home taking the ame table by the treet- ide window each day, and a king "How y' doing?". And that' getting to be rare the e day .view less

If you love real home cooking....

I really enjoy thi home cooking tyle fried chicken. Fir t, the breading i very light with church on the edge . Remember, a heavy batter i to di gui e the lack of ta te in mo t chicken joint . But thi place u e good chicken o it ha a good flavor and good ea oning, no...moret too overpowering where you can't ta te the food. Al o, it' not too grea y, that' a plu , ye , it will have grea e, but it doe n't lide down your finger like the other . The only thing I wi h they have, i bigger portion for their ide . I u ually ordered the marconi alad, ma hed with gravy, and the "SWEET POTATO FRIES". I don't know what they put into the e babie , but they are addictive, I couldn't top eating the e, even when the grea e i oaking though the paper bag, omething I abhor. Kudo for them, for their good old fa hion ervice, omething you haven't een in N.Y.C. in a while. The price i cheaper than KFC and 10 time cleaner, al o their bathroom doe n't mell nor wet all over the floor. I don't under tand why people flock to KFC, everything i proce , and their ervice i rude. For a change, try thi place if you like real food.view less
